Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Your customers' conversations are among your most sensitive data. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Proponent.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Proponent ("Proponent", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our customer intelligence platform (the "Service") and this website.

We designed Proponent to handle sensitive sales conversation and CRM data responsibly. Protecting that data is core to our product, not an afterthought.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, work email, company, and role when you sign up, request a demo, or contact us.

Customer data: with your authorization, we access conversation recordings, transcripts, and CRM records (such as deals, contacts, and notes) from the integrations you connect, in order to provide the Service.

Usage data: product and website analytics such as pages viewed, features used, device and browser information, and similar technical data.

3. How we use information

To provide, operate, and improve the Service, including analyzing conversations to surface insights and syncing results to your CRM.

To communicate with you about your account, support requests, security notices, and product updates.

To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. We do not train AI models on your data

Your customer data is never used to train foundation models or shared models. It is processed solely to deliver insights to you, within your account.

Where we use third-party AI providers to process data, we do so under agreements that prohibit using your data to train their models.

5. How we share information

Service providers: we share data with infrastructure, AI, and analytics subprocessors that help us run the Service, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.

Integrations: we exchange data with the CRMs and call recorders you explicitly connect, at your direction.

Legal: we may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, apply access controls, and follow industry-standard practices to protect your information. Self-hosting is available for organizations that require full data residency and control.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of your data as described below.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@proponentapp.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

9. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you are located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
